We are missing Hamar. Do you wanna know what's Hamar? It's a fucking middle bar of my bed that you have to buy separately. And my bed is totally useless without it. Thank you Ikea, thank you Sweden.

Only good thing about this situation is that Mika and Andy are missing Hamar too. Pizza and beer then. One for Hamar!

Hmm, in .nl it's included in the price of every bed, but packaged seperately. Did they just forget to send you one, by any chance? I agree on the uselessness-part, btw :S

Ikea is the Ninth Ring of Hell...it never fails. You get swallowed up in this nightmarish maze and when you come out, that's when you find out you're one part short, or that one part is missing the holes or slots it needs to fit with the other parts.

Oh, bonus: a replacement part will be available maybe in a few weeks, and you have to actually go to the store and check every week to see if it's there yet. Unless they've finally updated their inventory system. Yarg bastards.

Once you learn the way of ikea by heart, you will understand, my friend. The unwashed rarely see its beauty. ;)

Please don't say: I have a huge pile of Ikea furniture just waiting to be put together... Now I'm scared.

@marjut, be scared, very scared. The houle Mansion Houseku is a big mess at the moment. But house's a project, so who gives shit, right. I'm thinking twice my previous opinions on deco and stuff

You have to respect their ability to pack a bookshelf into a matchbox though.

I may be the odd one here, but I've never had problem with Ikea furniture. Childhood training with legos and meccano is finally paying off.

I still don't know what, exactly, is Hamar, though. Is it the bottom of the bed? Governor bolt? The transflux agitator?

It's not the assembly that's problem here. It's more like you buy a lego plane and wings has to be bought separately. Just that this fact of great interest is not printed on the box.

Everyone I know who has bought a bed from Ikea in Bay Area has missed the Sacred Hamar. Including me.
